Custom Jewelry FAQ

 

 

Q. Can you make a custom stainless pendant for me/my team/my company?

A. Yes, No, Maybe and it depends! In most cases there is a 100-piece minimum for me to create a new design from scratch. If you need just one or a few custom pendants I recommend searching for a traditional silversmith.

Q. Can you make (any design) in Sterling Silver?

A. No, I do not work with Sterling Silver or Gold. I recommend searching for a traditional silversmith or goldsmith. Many of them are willing and able to make single unique pieces from your custom design idea.

 

Q. How are your pendants and charms made?
A. For the 2D (flat, two-dimensional) pendants, I draw a template on my computer, which is then used by the laser cutting machine to cut the shapes from stainless steel plate stock. Then they are deburred and polished. In the case of 3D (three-dimensional) pendants, a model is carved by hand, then a mold is made from the model, finally molten steel is poured into the molds, the cooled pieces are polished. I do all the design work here in my studio; I do not have a steel factory here in my workshop ;-) That part is farmed out to machine shops who work from my drawings and specifications.

Q.  Will your jewelry tarnish, rub off or turn my skin colors?

A. Never! I use pure 304 Stainless Steel which is non-tarnishing and hypo allergenic. You can sleep, swim or shower in it. The term hypo-allergenic means it is relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction in people with sensitive skin.

 

​Q. I bought a necklace from you, but the chain is too short/too long, can I exchange it for a shorter/longer one?

A. Absolutely! I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need a different size or style, just let me know and I will make sure you get what you need.

 

Q. I bought a pendant from you but didn’t read the measurements or see the size comparison photos, and I feel like it’s just too big/small for me. Can I exchange it for something else or return it for a refund?

A. Absolutely! I want you to be happy with your purchase. Just let me know and I will make sure you are taken care of.

Q. Is your jewelry American made?

A. All my jewelry is designed, assembled and fully finished in the USA, right here in my studio in Lubbock, Texas, USA. All base metal in use today is imported from various metal producers around the world, including China, India, Europe, Japan, and others. Unless one is buying metals for aircraft or military use, it is virtually impossible to determine the exact origin of the metal. One batch of Metal ore might be mined in Brazil, sent to India for melting, then to China for further processing, then to multiple other destination around the world depending on what else needs to be done to it, and what final shape it is being made into- chain, plate, wire, tubing, etc. That being said, once the base metal is made, wherever that happened, I make it into jewelry myself here in Lubbock, Texas.

Q. How can I buy something from you now?

A. You can purchase my Stainless Steel jewelry from Amazon. I send my finished jewelry directly to Amazon warehouses and they stock it and distribute it for me.
